BIO
Jessica began her career litigating complex cases at Squire Patton Boggs, LLP and Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, LLP, appearing in state and federal courts across the country. That big-firm discipline — thorough preparation, deliberate strategy, command of the financial record — now serves individuals and families navigating the most personal disputes of their lives. She has extensive experience mediating cases to early resolution, saving her clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in litigation expense; when settlement is not possible, she litigates with the same preparation and resolve.
Her peers have recognized that work repeatedly. Jessica is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, has been named a U.S. News & World Report “Best Lawyer” every year since 2018, and has been repeatedly recognized as an Ohio “Super Lawyer,” a Columbus CEO “Top Lawyer,” and one of the “Best Lawyers in Central Ohio” by Columbus Business First.
Her commitment to families extends beyond her practice. Jessica is a former Trustee of Franklin County Children’s Services, where she chaired the Finance Committee, and has served on the boards of The Childhood League Center and the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), and as General Counsel to the animal rescue organization Stop the Suffering. Columbus Business First named her “Forty Under 40” in 2013, and the United Way of Central Ohio awarded her the Robert S. Crane Young Philanthropist Award in 2014.
Jessica earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and her B.A. from Kenyon College, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Contact her at jessica@jgklegal.com to schedule a consultation.
